The Platte County Sheriff's Office offers a Residential Security Check when Platte County residents, outside the city limits of Columbus, would like extra patrol when they are on vacation or away from home for an extended period.  This service is offered free of charge.  Deputies will make checks of the residence when time permits.  To request a Security Check, contact the Platte County Sheriff's Office at 402-564-3229.
